In Loving Memory of Pastor Bill Wright

Founder of Faith Christian Fellowship – Lindsay, Ontario

A Life of Faith, Healing, and Legacy

Pastor William John Wright was more than the founder of Faith Christian Fellowship—he was the spiritual cornerstone of a church built on prayer, healing, and unwavering belief in the power of God’s Word. His journey into ministry began not in a pulpit, but in a moment of desperation and divine encounter. When his young son faced a life-threatening illness, Pastor Bill turned to Scripture for the first time, pleading for truth and healing. The verse that met his tears—James 5:14–15—became the foundation of his calling: “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them…”

That miraculous healing not only saved his son, who went on to become a Canadian Superbike Champion, but also ignited a lifelong passion in Pastor Bill to share the Gospel and minister healing to others. From his early days as a stonemason and motorcycle racer to his leadership as president of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association in Lindsay, Pastor Bill’s life was marked by bold faith, practical service, and a deep love for people.

Founding Faith Christian Fellowship

Faith Christian Fellowship was born from Pastor Bill’s vision of a church where people could encounter God personally, be strengthened by Scripture, and walk together in authentic community. Under his leadership, the church became a place of worship, healing, and outreach—welcoming people from all walks of life and pointing them toward Jesus.

He was known for his humility, his storytelling, and his unwavering belief that God’s Word is truth. Whether preaching from the pulpit, praying for the sick, or simply sharing coffee with a visitor, Pastor Bill embodied the heart of a shepherd.

Remembering Pastor Bill

Pastor Bill passed away in 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and the legacy of a church that continues to thrive because of his obedience and faith. He is survived by his beloved wife Norma, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—each a testament to the life he lived and the faith he passed on.

His memorial service was held at Faith Christian Fellowship, the very sanctuary he helped build, where stories of healing, laughter, and transformation were shared by those whose lives he touched.

Honouring His Legacy

We remember Pastor Bill not just for what he built, but for how he lived: with courage, compassion, and a deep trust in God. His legacy lives on in every prayer spoken, every life changed, and every person welcomed into the Faith Christian Fellowship family.

“So I learned a principle: God’s Word is truth.” — Pastor Bill Wright
